Rebecca Robbins represents clients in all aspects of family law, including child custody, child support, spousal support, property distribution, orders of protection and prenuptial agreements. She also has experience in litigation, having begun her legal career in 1991 as a corporate litigator in New York City, and has represented clients in Family Court, Immigration Court, and New York Supreme Court through her work at Safe Horizon and the Legal Aid Society. Rebecca has both a J.D. and an L.L.M. degree from Columbia University School of Law, where she concentrated on family law and the rights of women and children and has her B.A. and M.A. in American Government from the University of Virginia, from which she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Rebecca is committed to obtaining the best outcomes for her clients and seeks amicably
negotiated settlements to the extent possible, but her primary focus is the long term health, wealth and
security of her clients and their families. Rebecca understands that achieving this requires knowledge
of the law, an ability to navigate the court system, a calm disposition, and the ability to understand
and negotiate complex financial issues.
Rebecca is admitted to the bar in the States of New York and Connecticut, and the Southern
and Eastem District Courls of New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association
and the New York City Bar Association.
